Northeast CSR forum held in Guwahati

CEO, Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Alemtemshi Jamir has called upon the corporate of all the Northeast states to give back to society in a focused manner so that it would have positive impact in improving the lives of the people.

Speaking as the chief guest during the one-day workshop of the Northeast Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) forum held at Taj Vivanta, Guwahati on February 26,  Jamir reminded the gathering that economic inequalities led to social injustice. He also said that corporates driven by profit caused large scale catastrophe for which “nature would never forgive us”.

The forum was hosted by the Dalmia Foundation, with participation from all over the Northeast.  

During the programme, the CSR heads of many corporates deliberated on the challenges of implementing CSR in the Northeast with a view to improve the position in the coming years.
