Northern Sumi Students’ Union organises seminar on career guidance

Northern Sumi Students’ Union (NSSU) organised one-day seminar on career guidance under the theme, “Gearing up for brighter and better future” on April 14 at Tourist Lodge Conference Hall, Dimapur.
In a press release, NSSU stated that three resource persons from various professions and backgrounds were invited to inculcate, educate and guide the students for their future.
Bokali Kughalu Chishi stressed on the unemployment problem in Nagaland and rampant backdoor appointment in the government sector. She encouraged students to study hard, appear competitive examinations and compete with the rest of the world. She also emphasised on being skilled and exploring one’s potential.
NCD, development of health & family welfare, consultant, Tongpang Matsung gave a power point presentation on pursuing medical studies.
He categorically classified different course of profession and advise the students to choose according to the areas of interest where one would want to pursue.
Nagaland Education Consultancy (NEC) consultant and founder, Steve Chophy encouraged the students to be self-reliant through their “qualification and skills”. He also stressed on the importance of organising career guidance.
