NOS to mark ‘Bone and Joint Day’

DIMAPUR

To commemorate “Bone and Joint Day” under the theme “Old is Gold—Care for Elderly,” the Nagaland Orthopaedic Society (NOS) will extend targeted medical services for senior citizens at Naga Hospital Kohima and District Hospital Dimapur on August 4, 2025.
According to NOS, surgeries involving implants will be offered at Naga Hospital Kohima, while District Hospital Dimapur will host free Bone Mineral Density (BMD) tests and provide medicines for elderly patients. The orthopaedic departments of the respective hospitals may be contacted for service-related information. NOS has invited senior citizens to avail these complimentary services aimed at promoting bone health and enhancing orthopaedic care for the ageing population.
