NOSTC holds annual general body meeting; elects new leadership

DIMAPUR

The Network of Organizations for Science and Technology Communication (NOSTC) held its annual general body meeting on June 10 and 11, 2025 at Livingstone Foundation International, in collaboration with Livingstone Foundation Society and *Breeze Women Welfare Association.
During the meeting, a new executive body was elected for the 2025–29 term, with Er. Anuj Sinha as chairman and Sanjib Kumar Sinha as general secretary & convenor. Other elected members include Kishor Raje (treasurer), Sandhya Verma (joint secretary & co-convenor for Central India), Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema (in-charge of North East India), Girish Kadlewad (South India), Dr. Satender Singh (Central India), Deepak Sharma (North India), Abhijeet Vardhan and Kishor Dev (East India), L. Nabakumar, and Santu Thapa.
Two co-opted members, M.N. Singh (North India) and Dr. N.K. Tiwari (Central India), were also inducted into the body.
Welcoming the members, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema urged unity within NOSTC and emphasized the organization’s role in advancing science and technology in India.
Quoting Nelson Mandela, he stated, “Destroying any nation does not require the use of atomic bombs or long-range missiles. It only requires lowering the quality of education and allowing cheating in examinations by students.”
The event included a felicitation ceremony led by Ani Yepthomi, honoring NOSTC officials and members. More than 20 representatives from various states and union territories participated in the meeting, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to scientific progress across India.
