Nagaland Pollution Control Board panel to enforce SUP ban

Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) has constituted a seven-member committee to enforce ban on the Single Use Plastic (SUP).
In a public notice, NPCB member secretary stated that the committee would work as a special team and also as a control room committee for undertaking enforcement and inspection of SUP for a period of two months.


NPCB stated that the control room would provide assistance, guidance, clarification, if any, and information, if any, by various stakeholders regarding ban on SUP banned items.
The committee, which has been asked to submit report weekly for onward submission to CPCB, would undertake enforcement drive during the enforcement campaign.
The committee would be headed by environmental engineer Aghali A. Swu (7005239265). Other members include Mvudzeviu Shuya, Scientist “B” (9436273817); Kevisede Pucho (9366530861), AEE; Sentinaro Angami, SSA (8794446448); Nikato Swu, JEE (9862771390); Y Hangpong Konyak, JSA (8787649560). And Rongsenben Longkumer, JSA (9362357118).
