NPCC alleges poll malpractice

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president K. Therie has warned that the BJP candidate to the 60 Pungro-Kiphire by-election could face disqualification or defeat for violating the electoral laws by using allurements to woo voters.

In a statement, Therie made the conclusion based on allegations of wrong doing by the candidate of the rival party adding it was only the tip of the iceberg.

He also alleged that besides offering allurements to voters, the BJP allegedly also told voters that “Hindutva is just a propaganda and that it cannot reach Nagaland as we are all Christians.”

In his statement, Therie attacked Hindutva as “the ultimate manifesto of BJP”. He alleged that  the ideology was responsible for the gruesome killing of Graham Stuart Staines and children because the victims were Christians.

Therie also said Hinduvta ideology was sought to be introduced in educational curricula.
