Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president S Supongmeren Jamir called for coordination among job providers and seekers in the state following the party’s state-wide tour. Addressing media persons here at Congress Bhavan on Friday, Supongmeren shared insights of the state-wide tour, claiming that more than 78,000 unemployed youth were registered in the Department of Employment and maintained that there would be even more unregistered.
He suggested that employment exchanges should collaborate and link up with the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) and Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB), besides networking and assess the categories to which the educated unemployed could be provided jobs with proper groundwork study.

For the aspirants who got qualified for the Nagaland Staff Selection Board and Nagaland Public Service Commission exams but were not selected, the NPCC president suggested that the state government should come up with some incentives or avenues for the candidates as it was difficult for the youth to start afresh something.
He cautioned that if this trend continued, there would be a lot of frustrated unemployed youth and it would be difficult for the society handle them, while the government would also not be in a position to help them
He cited Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu who on Wednesday assured the three Wushu players of the state who could not participate in the Asian Games at Hangzou in China would be treated as participants of the Indian wushu team and given Rs. 20 lakh incentive as per the state’s sports policy.
