NPCC calls for strengthening grassroots

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) Team along with District Congress Committee (DCC) Kohima held an extended executive Meeting at Congress Bhavan on Friday.


At the meeting, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee president, S Supongmeren Jamir on analyzing the problems from the grassroots level, called everyone to take the responsibility to help find solutions on the problems faced by the people.


Jamir also emphasized on the responsibilities of the people, and stressed on the need to coordinate with the village and ward levels to make the grass root strong.


He said the elected representatives and the people needed to come to a meeting point and urged the gathering to maintain good relationships with everyone and to not think that they were part of the opposition but to work for the welfare of the state.


Earlier, welcome address was delivered by District Congress Committee Kohima president, Ketseiyie Mere, while the programme was chaired by working president District Congress Committee Kohima, Khruvishe Atomu. The meeting started with an invocation by PCC member, 8th Western Angami, Kecha Chüsi.
The meeting concluded with vote of thanks, by vice president, District Congress Committee Kohima, N Meren Longchar


Working president and i/c Kohima district, Khriedi Theünuo emphasized on the past history and origin of the Congress party. Short speech were delivered by 8th Western Angami ACCC, 9th Kohima Town ACCC, Northern Angami II ACCC, 12th Tseminyu ACCC, 14th Southern Angami I ACCC, 15th Southern Angami II ACCC where they shared their grievances and the problems faced by the grassroots level. Short speeches were delivered by party workers, JBM – state coordinator, representative, NSUI, Public Grievances Department, Seva Dal and NPYC etc.
