Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), held a commemoration ceremony marking the 139th Foundation Day of the Indian National Congress (INC) at Congress Bhavan, Kohima, on December 28. A press release from chairperson communication department NPCC Yanger Longkumer informed that on the occasion, working president NPCC, Khriedi Theünuo, reflected upon the rich legacy of the INC in the service of the nation, and the untold sacrifices of Congress women and men throughout its 139-year history that helped build and shape the nation, and the state.
He also reminded the gathering about the continuity of the Nation building process, and the stewardship role expected of them as Congress ideologues in upholding the Secular, Democratic and Inclusive ethos of the party upon which the idea of India was based upon.
Similar commemorative events, celebrating the occasion were organised by the DCCs, ACCCs and other units and sub units of the party throughout the State.
