NPCC clarifieson ILP issue

DIMAPUR, JUL 2 (NPN)

Drawing attention to a recent article on Inner Line Permit (ILP) by Rajesh Kumar Sethi published in a section of local dailies on June 24, 2025, the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has clarified that it was the opinion of Sethi and did not reflect the opinion of the party.
In a press note, NPCC through its communications department stated that Sethi used his designation as National Coordinator of All India Congress Committee, In-charge of Manipur, while putting forth his individual opinion in connection with the imposition of ILP in Dimapur.
NPCC clarified that the party functionaries irrespective of the designations held were not authorized to speak on policy matters through individual’s perspective, especially on sensitive topics like the ILP issue.
NPCC said that the party would initiate appropriate measures to ensure that the party designation was not misused to bring disrepute and lower the image of the party in the eyes of the people.
