Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee’s (NPCC) Public Grievances Department (PGD) has demanded immediate resolution of the Sao Chang College issue.
In a statement, NPCC-PGD co-chairman Meshenlo Kath and secretaries Neidevi and Esther Therie announced their full support and cooperation towards the movement started by Chang Students’ Conference demanding for the rights of Sao Chang College students.
As there was only one government college in whole of Tuensang, Noklak and Shamator districts, they said the issues of four outdated buses and the horrible road condition of 7-km stretch could not be ignored or delayed any further.
PDG alleged that the government had forced the aggrieved students to go for shutting down the only college which in turn was affecting the career of students. They pointed out that the college was also functioning without a principal and lacked many subject lecturers. They reminded the government to immediately take necessary initiatives to correct the irregularities without further delay.
