NPCC flays

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has condemned the August 25 incident in Orissa where the “saffron brigade” burnt to death two persons including a woman and critically injuring a pastor, besides torching dozen of churches. Stating that such atrocity against Christians was not the first instance in Orissa, NPCC vice president Zachilhu Vadeo in a press statement said “India being a secular state every individual should be allowed to practice their desired religion, as the constitution also grants right to religion.”
The NPCC was of the view that since the DAN government in Nagaland was in alliance with NDA, it should immediately take up such issue with NDA and BJP in particular, to immediately stop such kind of communal activities.
