NPCC suspends 7 senior members

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president, K. Therie has suspended seven senior Congress members for their “misconduct”
The seven senior Congress members include– ex-MLA Subongmeren; Vaprumo Demo, Prasielie, ex-minister, Kongam; GK Rengma, ex-MLA Sulangthan and ex-minister Nilo Rengma.
In an order, citing the NPCC constitution, Therie stated that the members were suspended “for their misconduct and for deliberately acting in a way calculated to lower the prestige of Congress and for carrying propaganda against AICC directives, NPCC executive committee and office bearers thereof.”
He further said that their action was also in contravention to the Art. I and II of the NPCC/INC constitution “for going against secularism ideologies and principles and supporting MLAs who have joining the NPF led BJP-DAN government, whose ideology and principle are communalism.”
“They also have submitted representation alleging NPCC executive committee and president NPCC with unfounded basis.”
He said that the “obscenity and disobedience” shown in front of the chief guest, AICC general secretary Narayanasamy and honored guest, secretary AICC, Dr. Jayakumar has shamed the party.
“Alleging secy AICC and secy AICC (Legal) as thieves for coming to perform the directive of AICC is unbecoming of PCC official,” Therie stated.
Asserting that their conduct has attracted “serious breach of discipline”, Therie therefore said that in accordance to NPCC and INC constitution and the resolutions of NPCC executive committee dated June 25, 2015, their (seven members) membership(s) have been suspended till further order.
NPCC has also cautioned its members or committee, not to associate and take orders from the suspended members during the period of suspension.
