NPF, AGP discuss strengthening of NE regional parties

DIMAPUR, JUN 19 (NPN)

NPF secretary general and MLA Achumbemo Kikon met with Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) president and Assam minister for Agriculture, Border Affairs and Implementation of Assam Accord, Atul Bora, at his office in Guwahati on Thursday to discuss strengthening ties among regional parties in the North East.
During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed the long-standing relationship between the Naga People’s Front (NPF) and the AGP.
Raising concerns over the growing issue of border encroachments, Kikon highlighted attempts by suspected illegal immigrants to encroach on Merapani Seed Farm, adding that such encroachments could not be tolerated.
Kikon also drew the minister’s attention to the Assam-Nagaland border disputes, advocating for a peaceful resolution by respecting each other’s rights.
