Naga People’s Front (NPF) organized a pre-Christmas celebration event on Thursday at its central office in Kohima.
A press release from NPF central headquarter press bureau stated that, NPF president, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu in his Christmas message, stressed on the need to have the true Christ spirit while celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
He also said that any person who puts Christ in the centre of his heart will always be successful and happy in life.
Based on the verse John 3:16, the president said that the world, as well as human kind, have the most blessed gift from God — His son, Jesus Christ.
Dr. Shürhozelie also stated that a politics was also a profession, and to become a good politician one needed to work for the welfare of the people. Therefore, he called upon the congregation to be humble and put Christ first and work for the people.
Earlier, on the occasion N Vihoshe Swu and Banuo Sanchu read from the scripture; Vimenuo Nakhro delivered Christmas greetings; Thangsat invoked God’s blessings; and Virie Kuotsu enthralled the congregation with a song. The program was chaired by S. Akho Leyri and attended by central office bearers, CEC members, frontals, MLAs and well wishers.
