Naga People’s Front (NPF) has expressed shock and resentment over the decision to extend the ‘Disturbed Area Act’ to the whole of Nagaland for another six months.
NPF through its press bureau, urged the Centre to revoke the decision and exhibit its sincerity and expedite for a speedy conclusion to the vexed Naga political problem.
With the Centre firm on solving the Naga issue and the Nagas hopeful for positive result, NPF however said that declaring the entire State as disturb was totally uncalled for.
“During this crucial period of negotiation and talks to the vexed Naga political problem and when the Naga public seriously hoping for the final solution, the Central Government order has came as a shocked as to how much the Central government is keen and sincere in bringing the Naga issue to conclusion,” NPF said and added that the imposition of the Act only showed insincerity on the part of the Centre.
Meanwhile, NPF wished the people a prosperous New Year 2021 and hoped that a sense of love, care and prosperity prevail among the society and the people.
