NPF division presidents back its leaders

The division presidents of the Naga people’s Front (NPF) comprising of 13 divisions spread across the state in a consultative meeting held today had resolved to strongly endorse the leadership of president Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and chief minister T.R Zeliang.
The resolution was signed by the 13 division president’s: Kohima, Mokokchung, Pughoboto, Wokha, Peren, Tuensang, Phek, Mon, Dimapur, Longleng, Kiphiri, Tseminyu and Zunheboto.
It also resolved to strongly support the decision taken by the DAN legislatures to remain firm under the leadership of the chief minister, T.R Zeliang and urged the chief minister not to resign from the chief minister-ship as the present government had the full mandate and support of the entire citizens of Nagaland.
Further it decided to seriously view the activities of the party men and women for participating in the agitation against the government and also appealed the tribal hoho’s to consider their demand for resignation of the chief minister.
NPF Kohima division in an executive emergency meeting held on February 8 has resolved to stand firm and support the leadership of the chief minister T.R Zeliang and NPF president Dr. Shurhozelie.
The letter was signed by presidents and general secretaries of Kohima division, 8- Western Angami A/C, 9 Kohima Town A/C, 10 Northern Angami A/C, 11 NA-II A/C, 14- SA-I A/C and 15 SA-II A/C.
It said NPF Kohima division had been extending fullest support and co-operation with the apex APO and AYO till date against the boycott of ULB election, however with the formation of NTAC, which was purely politically motivated, the NPF Kohima division will not participate in any of their activities.
Also the division appealed all the concerned to come together and reason out what was best for the Nagas and the society at large.
