NPF holds traditional CEC meeting

The Traditional Central Executive Council Meeting (CEC) of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) was held at NPF Central Headquarters on October 20. Delivering short speech MLA from Manipur, K. Leishiyo informed the party workers on the respect and significance which NPF party maintained in Manipur.


Stressing on the importance and weightage of the cock party, he said in Manipur, NPF party stood as a security in terms of political and social platform at the same time encouraged the gathering to expand their idea, aims and objectives and lead the young people to attain their goal.


Secretary general, Achumbemo Kikon MLA, emphasized on the 60 year journey and informed that the party was respected due to its founding principles and commitment by the founders and pioneers who from the initial stages focused on to solve the political solution.


Kikon hoped that the same principles and commitment would be followed over the years as they inherit a rich legacy and encouraged the party workers to not get carried away by short term goals and set targets which the pioneers had set for them.


Noting that NPF torch should be carried ahead, Kikon reminded the gathering to maintain peace within the party and urged them to not let the problem hinder as they marched forward.
Kikon also acknowledged the service provided by NPF president, Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu under whose leadership the party had soared high over 60 years.


Also addressing the party workers, working president, Pusazo Luruo said that even after six decades of existence with the change of the party nomenclature seven times, the policy and principles of NPF remained unchanged. The programme was chaired by vice – president, Yangerlemba and invocation by vice – president Tsümongo Ovung and vote of thanks by president, Mon Division, Chingyem Konyak.
