NPF Mon div asks JCC to call off bandh

NPF Mon division has earnestly requested Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) to call off the bandh in the interest of general mass, student community and government employees who were dependent on salary for livelihood.
NPF Mon division president, Yanlong Konyak and general secretary (Admn) Wango Konyak has stated that even after more than thirteen times of careful deliberations and consultations by the NPF•led DAN government with the various civil NGOs/societies, hohos with regard to ULB, it said that “desperate handful of power hungry leaders” had “for political motive” misled the masses especially ignorant youths to come out in the street leading to the dead of two innocent youths.
It stated that the state government had conducted ULB election with a worthy legal advice as the best way to protect its special provision in Article 371 A. It also pointed out that earlier the 33% reservation was endorsed by ENSF, Lotha Hoho, Naga Council, ENPO and media poll results with 65% public opinion that Naga customary practices would not be affected by the said reservation.
NPF Mon division also stated that now these “handful few leaders and agitators” were now demanding the resignation of chief minister on moral ground. It also stated that various church organizations in Nagaland “misunderstood the peace making process by NBCC”.
