NPF objects Kaito-led DAN coordination meet

Objecting the DAN coordination committee reportedly held under the chairmanship of G. Kaito Aye on January 14, Naga People’s Front (NPF) Thursday termed it as utter violation of the rules and procedure of NPF constitution as well as the Election Commission of India.
In a press release, NPF press bureau stated that the legitimate and constitutionally standing DAN coordination committee was headed by Dr. Shürhozelie Liezetsu as chairman, K.G. Kenye as member secretary and six other members including BJP Nagaland president Dr. M. Chuba Ao, BJP Nagaland general secretary James Vizo, JD (U) Nagaland president Mhonjan Lotha, NCP Nagaland Unit general secretary Yimso, NCP Nagaland unit vice president Er. T.L. Semdhok and M. Krose, also of the NCP Nagaland unit.
NPF said such responsible and high level body (DAN coordination committee) cannot be brought about or put in place under the “mere influence and interest of any group of people”. NPF said it could be done only in accordance with the strictly laid down rules and formalities, which “under no circumstances be flouted.”
Assuring the people who gave it the mandate that they would not be fooled or betrayed, NPF further reassured that the government under the leadership of chief minister T.R. Zeliang was in safe hands.
On Wednesday, DAN coordination committee of the Kaito-led group reaffirmed to stand by Kaito as leader of the NPF legislature party. Among others, the meeting had resolved on “the need to renew and strengthen the relationship between the State Government and the NDA Government at the Centre”.
