In the wake of the deepening internal crisis within NPF, the NPF Peren division along with 6 Tening and 7 Peren Assembly Constituencies have extended appreciation to those legislators in the DAN-III government for once again reposing faith on TR Zeliang leadership to lead the affair of the State as chief minister.
In a joint press statement, NPF Peren division president Haigam Kauring, 7 Peren A/C president Manuel Kamson and 6 Tening A/C Namkiak while calling for peace and good sense to prevail on the present imbroglio have also placed on record their gratitude to Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu for guiding the State during his tenure. However, requested Dr. Shurhozelie to gracefully pave way for the leader of the NPF legislature party and chairman, DAN TR Zeliang to form a new government in the State by reminding him that opting for suspensions and expulsions will not bear consequences neither on the membership of the Legislators in the Assembly nor on the formation of a new Government. They further asserted that TR Zeliang has the unflinching support which is beyond the 2/3 majority benchmark, therefore it would be better for the current chief minister to pave way in accordance with the established parliamentary conventions for a peaceful transition.
