In the ongoing war of words, NPF has now slammed NDPP over the latter’s statement in the media which it termed as “snobbish, immature and hysterical”.
The opposition party asserted that at no point of time it ever wanted to degrade itself by fighting over petty issues with a “still born and most immature” political party in the State like NDPP that was apparently at its wit’s end.
In a rejoinder issued by its press bureau, NPF said de-registration case of the “most controversial” party in the State had become one of the most closely watched piece of news due to the fact that the “infamous” registration of NDPP was done under questionable circumstances even as Rio and his supporters tried all means to hijack NPF in 2017, which too was nothing short of a fraud.
Stating that it was saddened to watch the struggles within NDPP, the opposition party also expressed its amusement at the way the ruling party was trying to portray itself to outside world by putting up a brave front even as its hope for survival as a political party was shrivelled deep inside.
As the oldest regional political party, NPF said it did not wish to comment further on the hearing going on in Election Commission over de-recognition of NDPP. It, however, asked NDPP not to stoop so low and attack its MLAs with mala fide intentions.
Wondering what harm Yitachu, who is an expert in legal matters, had done to NDPP, the rejoinder asserted that it was at the sole discretion of NPF as a “matured political party” to extend support to the ongoing case in Election Commission of India and that NDPP had no right to question it on the matter.
Scoffing off at NDPP’s “political conspiracy” theories and allegations that leader of opposition TR Zeliang and Yitachu were hobnobbing with Congress in New Delhi, NPF termed these as “figment of wildest imagination”. The opposition party, however, said it felt sorry for NDPP as the latter seemed to be living in a state of delirium these days, reeling in fear as to what would become of the newborn party, adding that such reactions from fearful minds and fearful party were expected.
NPF assured the people of Nagaland that truth would prevail soon enough for everyone to behold.
