Nagaland NPGN/NNC clarifieson arrested individuals

National People’s Government of Nagaland (NPGN/NNC) has clarified that two individuals arrested by Dimapur Police on November 20 in connection with extortion complaints were not affiliated with the organization.
In a press release, MIP of NPGN/NNC said that the arrested persons—Apulo Wotsa (27), son of Kivigho Wotsa of Pishikhu village under Niuland district, and Hito Rochill (30), son of late Kahuto Rochill of Toluví village under Dimapur district—have not been associated with the organization since 2022.
The NPGN/NNC stated that it does not condone or support criminal activities and warned against misuse of its name. It urged the public to cooperate with authorities in maintaining law and order and reaffirmed its commitment to peace and security. The organization further cautioned that extortion and related crimes will be dealt with strictly as per the Azha.
