NPGN/NNC collective leadership, after thorough deliberation, has “expelled and terminated” T. Ovung from the organizations, NPGN/NC MIP stated in a press note.
MIP said Shoba Lakham was elected as the interim president by the national council of tatar hoho after T. Ovung was relived as its president.
MIP further stated that T. Ovung Hence “is not permitted to address himself as president NPGN/NNC.”
The council said it also vehemently condemned “the declaration of president rule by a person who has no followers or any foundation nor applicable.”
Therefore, NPGN/NNC has appealed all Nagas not to be misled by the propaganda.
Meanwhile, in another statement, NPGN/NNC MIP informed that the national Tatar Hoho session of the organization held on May 31 unanimously adopted a two-point resolution.
MIP said T Ovung Lotha, who was elected as acting president for a period of six months against the vacant post after the demise of president late Temjen Yanger Aier, was relieved from the caretaker post upon expiry of his tenure. ovung was later inducted him as advisor to collective leadership.
MIP said the house then elected Shoba Lakhum as interim president for a period of six months with immediate effect.
In this regard, NPGN/NNC has appealed to all concern, well wishers and organizations to cooperate with Lakhum in the interest of the Nagas in genera.
Lotha Region condemns: Lotha Region NPGN/NNC (NA) has condemned T. Ovung for imposing ‘president rule’ and dissolving the ministry (council of ministers) and all political wings.
In a press note, dy. kilonser-cum-Lotha Region chairman of the NPGN/NNC (NA) , Robin Tungoe said the region will not support or co-operate with the foolish act.
Accusing Ovung of being corrupt and destructive, Robin asserted that they will never ever work under his leadershipm who has created disunity and misunderstanding.
The Lotha Region chairman, Robin Tungoe said T. Ovubg was incapable for serving the Naga nation today or tomorrow and has tarnished the prestige of Lotha region.
