NPGN/NNC (N-A) cautions against illegal tax collection

DIMAPUR: NPGN/NNC (N-A) has informed that it has received reports of random collection of illegal tax in the name of its president, T. Ovung, in and around Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Jornapani and adjoining areas.
Businessmen, heads of departments and the general public in these areas have been cautioned not to entertain any person demanding yearly tax, financial assistance, donations or contributions in the name of NPGN/NNC (N-A) without an authorisation letter issued by the president. The organisation further warned that defaulters indulging in such activities would be doing so at their own risk.
