NPGN/NNC (N/A) clarifies

Reacting to the report “NPGN/NNC expels former president”, NPGN/NNC (N/A) president T Ovung Monday said it was “ridiculous” to learn from former MIP that the Tatar Hoho meeting expelled and terminated the president and elected a new president by the Hoho. In a press release, T Ovung questioned “how and from where” did the Tatar Hoho come when the ministry/tatar hoho has been dissolved.

Claiming that there was not a single legislator including ato kilonser, Ovung said electing new president after the dissolution of the hoho meant that “they have already formed another government”.  Stating that the mainstream i.e. NPGN/NNC (NA) was still with him, Ovung said their claims were “baseless, null and void as per Yezhaabo.”

He reiterated that dissolution of the ministry/hoho and imposition of “president’s rule” was necessitated due to “so many major crisis within the government” including corruption, unlawful activities, anti-national activities, misuse of power etc, which were “totally against the yezhaabo.”

Reminding that “president’s rule” has been imposed for six months, Ovung said the “government would be reformed after the expiry of the said period” so as to run the “government smoothly without any hindrance”. Ovung said that during the period of “president’s rule” everything would be done through his directive. Ovung stated that the other group was trying to fool the Nagas for their own benefit.
