Extending “unflinching support” to the Framework Agreement signed between the NSCN (I-M) and Government of India on August 3, 2015, the NPGN/NNC/NA (MK) has affirmed that the “Indo-Naga” political solution without flag and constitution was “not acceptable at any cost.”
NPGN/NNC/NA (MK) through its MIP stated that the affirmation was made during cabinet meeting held on September 30, 2020 under the leadership of its president Mhathung Tsopoe and ato kilonser Kiyelho Wokhami. MIP stated that the meeting discussed the “Indo-Naga” political issue and affirmed to “support the Framework Agreement, which recognise the unique history, universal principal and identity of the Nagas.”
NPGN/NNC/NA (MK) maintained that the spirit and aspiration of the Naga plebiscite continues to “form the historical basis on which to move forward, the visionary role of Naga elders and the organizing leadership of the then Naga National Council (NNC) which laid the foundation of the Naga struggle and derived the legitimacy on which future generation could aspire for the fulfillment of their long cherished dream to become fully free and independent.”
