DIMAPUR, SEP 28 (NPN): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur Kesonyü Yhome Monday launched month-long National Population Register (NPR) updation drive at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Nagarjan, Dimapur.
According to DC, the objective of NPR updation was to ensure every citizen of India to have Aadhar card number so that no individual faced problem while applying for any scheme or project.
Yhome also said educational institutions have been selected to conduct the programme in order to spread awareness among the students.
Meanwhile, DC said his office under the directives of Census department would be conducting PNR updation programme in three schools namely GHSS, Nagarjan, Holy Cross Higher Secondary School (HCHSS) and Christian Higher Secondary School (CHSS) for two days each under the supervision of SDO James Swu.
