National People’s Youth Front (NPYF), Dimapur district, has appealed to the State Government to include Dimapur in the pilot phase of the Pink Scooty Scheme aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs.
NPYF Dimapur president, Zato Sumi, while appreciating the initiative launched in Kohima, Mokokchung, and Chümoukedima, expressed concern over Dimapur’s exclusion. He noted that Dimapur, being one of Nagaland’s largest commercial hubs, is home to a significant number of aspiring women entrepreneurs. The organisation emphasized that inclusion of Dimapur would ensure equitable distribution of government initiatives and significantly boost women-led businesses and livelihood opportunities in the district.NPYF further stated that extending the scheme to Dimapur would amplify the government’s vision for women empowerment and inclusive development across the State. It therefore urged the Government to reconsider its decision and include Dimapur in the pilot phase of the scheme.
