NRMSATA 2016 demands pending salary

Nagaland RMSA Teachers Association (NRMSATA), 2016 batch has demanded that the state government immediately release of pending salary without any delay so as to avoid any further legal complications. In a press release, NRMSATA 2016 finance secretary Amos Seb and Kohima district convenor Vitseituo stated that RMSA-2016 teachers have not been paid for nearly five months despite several representations and appeals to the authority concerned.

NRMSATA 2016 reminded the state government that the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench had given in its judgement order for contempt of court dated May 19, 2020 stating that “in case, the petitioners have any grievance they are given the liberty to come back before this court”.

In this regard, RMSA-2016 teachers questioned as to why the government and the department was not following the Court’s direction in releasing the salary of their teachers whereas other batches of teachers under Samagra Shiksha (SS) have been paid.  They said that sidelining a particular batch of teachers was “total discrimination” on the part of the government”.
