DIMAPUR: A joint meeting of Nyiro Range Public Organisation (NRPO), Nyiro Range Youth Organisation (NRYO), Nyiro Range Students’ Union (NRSU), Nyiro Range Village Council Union (NRVCU) and Nyiro Range Road construction Observer Committee (NRRCOC) was held on December 27 at Wokha town.
In a press release, NPRO president, Nyimbemo Ngullie informed that the meeting deliberated various issues and developmental activities within the range, specifically on issues of on-going road construction between Wokha-N to Longidang Road.
During the meeting, NRRCOC presented detailed accounts on performance of on-going road construction wherein, the house authorised road construction committee to supervise and ensure quality work.
It also asked the committee to contain any unwanted activities that might obstruct smooth functioning of the construction work till its completion.
After the meeting, NRPO visited worksite to ascertain workmanship of road construction and interacted with the engineers.
During their visit, NRPO team found that workmanship was “far below standard of execution” and suggested that the works be executed as per specifications.
The team also stated that there would be no compromises over quality of work.
