
Nagaland Science Centre (NSC) department of Science and technology commemorated “national science day” on March 27 on the theme, “future of science, technology & innovation: impacts on education, skill & work”.
A press release by the centre stated that in his speech, science officer, department of science and technology, Richard Rikhio emphasised on the importance of science and technology.
He deliberated on how science paved the way to innovation which ultimately became technology and how all these were essential for human development, social and economic progress.
At the programme, Kudatech skill centre principal, Kapil Thapa spoke on the importance of local innovation and local skill development while I Victor Chang (local innovator) demonstrated few of his local innovations and interacted with the participating students.
Education assistant, innovation hub, T Wilson also demonstrated an “experimental science show”.
Students from Lorna’s Higher Secondary School, Bethesda Higher Secondary School, Namghar High School & AG Higher Secondary School Dimapur participated at the event.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Onongoto Soleho.
