NSCB bids farewell to MD

Nagaland State Cooperative Bank has organized a farewell programme in honour of its outgoing Managing Director (MD), S Atovi Sema in the office conference hall on February 28.
In his farewell speech, Atovi conveyed his gratitude to the Principal Secretary and Finance Commissioner, Temjen Toy, who is also the chairman of the bank; vice-chairman, I Tali Longkumer; and the board of directors for supporting him in decision making for the development of the bank during his tenure as the CEO.
He has thanked the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) and his team for cooperation and financially helping the bank with Rs 1300 lakhs in the year 2013 to comply with the provisions under section 11(1) of Banking Regulation Act 1949.
Atovi express his indebtedness to the General Manager (OIC) NABARD, Nagaland Regional Office Dimapur, V Chelladurai, under whose supervision the bank and all its 21 branches were fully computerised on March 24, 2014, and also extending refinances to the bank from time to time in order to maintain financial stability.
The retiring MD has asked the forgiveness from the bank’s officers and staff if he had wronged them in any way during his service. He also wished good luck to his successor Imtilemba Longkumer, on being promoted to the post of Managing Director.
Vice chairman of Board of Directors, I Tali Longkumer, has described Atovi as a devoted, dutiful, honourable, courageous, committed, visionary, tenacious and high spirited person. Tali has further wished him the best in his future endeavours.
The farewell programme was chaired by General Manager (admin & vig.) NSCB, Imtilemba Longkumer, while the welcome address was delivered by GM (recovery) Ningsangwaba.
The outgoing CEO was felicitated by head office and its 21 branches.
