NSCBDS demands National tag for Ruzazho village in Phek

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Memorial Development Society (NSCBDS) Nagaland on Wednesday demanded recognition of Ruzazho village in Phek district as “National Heritage Village”.  
NSCBDS team led by chairman Er. Vekho Swuro took up the matter with Governor P.B. Acharya, when they met him at Raj Bhavan, Kohima on Wednesday, PRO said in a statement.  They also sought Acharya’s intervention on their demand. 
In reply, Governor asserted that proper befitting memorial should be held for Naga people and also Subhash Chandra Bose, who fought under INA in Nagaland. 
He also viewed that Ruzhazho village should be declared as a Heritage Village by the Central government since Subhash Chandra Bose came to this village during freedom struggle.  Acharya further said that those Nagas who fought under Indian National Army should also be declared as freedom fighters and receive financial benefit.
 In this regard, Nagaland Governor told NSCBDS members that he will approach union minister Prakash Javadekar and brief him on the urgent necessity to recognise Naga freedom fighters under INA and to felicitate those fighters who are still alive, and the children whose parents died fighting for India’s freedom.  
Governor also acknowledged the role played 97-year old Poswuyi Swuro, as a Dobashi to administer Ruzhazho during Netaji’s visit. 
Further, Acharya informed the team members that five years ago, the Centre had released some funds to Tsiesezou village where Netaji last came, and therefore, he would ensure that the fund was utilize for the right purpose.
Er. Vekho asserted that Netaji promised empowerment, employment and development as rights to the villagers after achieving sovereignty from the British. 
He was accompanied by secretary, Dupoyi Nyekha and advisor NSCBDS Phek, Kuvehu Soho.
