NSCN(I-M) bans sale of firecrackers

NSCN (I-M), UT-I central administrative officer (CAO) has banned sale of all types of firecrackers in and around Dimapur with immediate effect. In a press statement, UT-I secretary, Akato Swu, stated that ban was imposed after taking serious note of harmful effects of firecrackers besides causing disturbance to students whose final examination is approaching. Seeking cooperation from all responsible, the NSCN (I-M) cautioned that anyone found selling or transporting such items would be dealt with strictly.
