NSCN (I-M) condemns AR raid

NSCN (I-M) through its MIP has condemned the “unprecedented offensives” at the official residence of kilonser RT.Tsanglao by 32 Assam Rifles (AR), who “swooped down on a respectable functionary of NSCN on 26th December 2017 midnight”.
A press note from its MIP added that the action of the 32 AR has once again brought “about bitter past memories of the Naga people as the 32 Assam Riffles, under command of Col.VS. Pal”, which has been their customary way of faring with any situation in defiance of the revised text in the ground rules (clause-a).  NSCN (I-M) alleged that, as usual, the 32 Assam Riffles came prepared to “ransack, ravage and to snatch away anything within their reach”.
The MIP also claimed that the AR personnel were unethical like “professional thief” to break in to the homestead of a recognized senior functionary of GPRN by using a ladder to break into and conduct “savageous raid” that lasted for more than two hours.
Assam Rifles has fully exploited the ceasefire period for raid, frisking, ransacking and other highly provocative actions, taking undue advantage of NSCN being tolerant to respect the hard earned peace and awaiting final settlement, the press note said.
In this regard, NSCN (I-M) said it has seriously viewed the “incessant and provoked” actions of Assam Rifles as “proactive elements” to upset the most prolonged political talks between government of India and Naga people.  Therefore, NSCN (I-M) added that the so called “friends of the hill people’ should learn to respect the peoples’ sentiments and ceasefire grounds rules to avoid misunderstandings between Naga people and Government of India in the near future.
