The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) has mourned the demise of Sahriinii Vemai, tatar on April 24 at Senapati of Shepoumaramth region.
A condolence note by NSCN (I-M) secretary to GPRN, M. Danny Lotha stated that late Vemai was born on November 10, 1919 and joined national service on February 15, 1958 and wholeheartedly served the nation with utmost sincerity and dedication in various capacities till his last breath. GPRN stated that his demise has brought irreparable loss to the Naga nation, leaving huge vacuum which would be difficult to fill. The GPRN stated that it would always cherish the steadfast commitment and sacrificial service he had rendered for the sacred cause. The GPRN further expressed heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and pray to Almighty God to grant eternal peace and rest to the departed noble soul.
