NSCN (I-M) through its MIP has expressed gratitude to the Naga Students’ Union Delhi, Eastern Naga Students’ Union Delhi and Nagas in Delhi for organizing a condolence programme in honour of Gen. (Retd.) Kholi Konyak, vice-president of GPRN on December 13 at Nagaland House, New Delhi.
MIP thanked all tribal organizations for receiving the mortal remains of late Kholi and the Naga Hoho and Naga Council Dimapur for organizing a public reception programme at Agri Expo, 4th Mile, Dimapur on December 13. It also thanked Angami Public Organization (Kohima), Rengma Hoho (Tseminyu), Lotha Hoho (Wokha), Ao Senden (Mokokchung), Konyak Union of Mon and Tobu for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to the entourage of late Kholi during his final journey to his native village and all those who escorted to CHQ Hebron from Dimapur.
NSCN (I-M) has also extended appreciation to all the Naga Political Groups (NPGs), Government of India, leaders of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, political parties, Nagaland Government and police, revolutionary fraternity from the North East region, all the Naga and non-Naga civil society organizations/unions, students’ unions/associations, indigenous organizations, church leaders, volunteers, media fraternity and well-wishers for always having stood with the Naga Nation. Meanwhile, MIP said that the mortal remains of the late Kholi had been laid to rest at Wangshu village, about eight kilometers from Tobu with full honor. NSCN (I-M) said it will cherish the love and respect shown to the late Kholi and the GPRN. Further, NSCN (I-M) extended Christmas greetings and Happy New Year to all.
