NSCN (I-M) flays Ukhrul bank robbery

NSCN (I-M) has expressed shock over the robbery that was carried out by unidentified armed miscreants at Punjab National Bank (PNB), Ukhrul on November 30.

NSCN (I-M) stated that it understood the “feeling of shock, anger and helplessness”, adding the incident was bound to have negative impact on the socio-economic health of Ukhrul district. Strongly condemning the “dastardly crime”, NSCN (I-M) said that every possible angle should be studied “to identify the perpetrators and justice be meted out.” It may be mentioned that Rs 18.85 crore was looted by an unidentified armed group from the PNB branch.
