NSCN (I-M) has said that one VS Mashungmi– bonafied NSCN (I-M) cadre, who had recently carried out a “so-called Peace March” carrying both the national flags of India and Nagalim, had done so without taking the authority into confidence.

Asserting that such a one man operation with sensitive political implication was not authorized by NSCN, the NSCN (I-M) stated “his daring venture, no matter how patriotic it may appear in the eyes of the beholder amount to violation of disciplinary code of conduct.”

NSCN (I-M) said that security implication was taken in to account to abort the peace-march midway. Further, Mashungmi has been debriefed to establish the idea behind his peace march, it added.
