NSCN (I-M) refutes NGBF leader Zhalipu’s statement

NSCN (I-M) has strongly refuted the statement made by Zhalipu, leader of the Nagaland Gaon Bura Federation (NGBF), regarding the alleged agreement on merging the Framework Agreement and Agreed Position into a single document.

In a press release, NSCN (I-M) clarified that chairman Q. Tuccu and deputy ato kilonser ‘gen.’ (Retd) VS Atem never consented to such a move, calling Zhalipu’s claim a “blatant lie”. This, NSCN (I-M) said tantamount to be charged for breach of faith and malicious damage to NSCN’s political standing that strongly advocated for principle-based solution to the Naga political issue.

While confirming that Atem met NGBF representatives on February 4, 2025, NSCN (I-M) stated that no official commitment was made. Instead, NGBF was informed that the matter would be discussed internally and decided upon if the need arise.
