NSCN (I-M) warns against meddling in hill projects

DIMAPUR, NOV 4 (NPN)

The Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) has issued a notification cautioning valley-based armed organisations in Manipur against interfering in developmental projects earmarked for the Naga hill areas.
The notification, issued by joint secretary GPRN, ‘capt (retd). K.K. Lamkang, stated that the illicit coordination between valley-based armed groups and departmental authorities was hampering development in the hill regions. It affirmed that the hill people have not interfered in valley projects and expect the same in return.
It further urged concerned departments to execute their administrative responsibilities with sincerity and respect the sentiments of different communities, stating that such mutual understanding would contribute to the growth of infrastructure and welfare of the people in their respective regions.
The directive was issued in continuation of earlier communications from the Ministry of Kilo Affairs dated March 11 and August 26, 2025.
