NSCN (I-M) warns against sheltering ‘sexual offender’

DIMAPUR, OCT 13 (NPN)

NSCN (I-M), ministry of kilo affairs, has appealed to the general public and Naga political groups not to shelter its deputy kilonser Hekugha Chophy, “accused/perpetrator/sexual offender”, saying his misdeeds had no place in a civilized society.
Chophy has been accused of attempted rape and physical assault on a woman from Kizari village under Phek district on September 24, 2025.
In an appeal letter, secretary to the GPRN, Q. Swu, cautioned that any public or NPGs found sheltering the accused “shall be subjugated with heavy liabilities”. Further, Swu stated that kilo affairs ministry would leave no stone unturned to deliver justice for the aggrieved victim.
He said that as directed by the deputy ato kilonser and further instructed by kilo kilonser, the caretaker CAOs of Angami, Chakhesang, Sumi & UT have been ordered to implement the “Warrant of Arrest” issued on September 26, 2025 in coordination with the Naga Army and produce the accused before the ministry of kilo affairs within one week.
