One NSCN (K) cadre was injured when unidentified gunmen opened fired upon him at Signal Angami road, here Tuesday. According to police sources, the assailants came in a white coloured Maruti car and fired at Akahoto Yeptho (27) ‘lieut’ of NSCN (K) at around 12.45 p.m. at Signal junction and sped away. He sustained bullet injuries on the neck, left chest and right thigh. One of the bullets hit the neck and exited from the nose. He was admitted to hospital in Dimapur and his condition stable, police said. Police also recovered an empty case of 9mm bullet from the spot. A case has been registered at Sub-Urban police station and the investigation is on, police source said.
