NSCN (K) flays 33 AR action

Supervisor of Ceasefire Supervisory Board NSCN (K), Y Wangtin Naga, has strongly condemned the hostile and brutal action of 33 Assam Rifles who raided the private residence of Col. Wanglon and Col. Apan at New site Mon town on February 12.
Wantin Naga has demanded the justification of 33 Assam Rifle actions on NSCN Army Officers by raiding their houses and threatening the harmonious family environment.
“The Assam Rifles action reminds their inhumane operation on the Nagas right from 1960’s to 1990’s where thousands and thousands Naga houses burnt into ashes and raped the Naga women to satiate their lust,” Wangtin Naga said in a press release.
While condemning the Assam Rifles activities of violation of cease-fire ground rules, Y Wangtin Naga reminded the Nagas and good Indians that during 1980’s, Assam Rifles penetrated into Myanmar’s territories and burnt down three Konyak villages Nyanching, Hoyat, Throilo and slaughtered all domestic animals forcing the villagers to abandon their ancestral villages. Recalling the Assam Rifles’ brutality, he said an old woman in the age group of 89-90 was found at Throilo Konyak village in Myanmar soil who was kicked and hit with rifle butts and thrown the dead body infront of Angh’s house.
He said the hostile attitude of Assam Rifle continues even today who are inviting breaking of ceasefire. He also stated that the NSCN/GPRN would not be held responsible for untoward incident to the extent of disturbing present ceasefire.
Y Wangtin Naga has demanded from 33 Assam Rifles to show/display any un-authorized arms found in two Naga Army Officers’ houses raiding adding that if they (AR) fails to publicly display the Arms found, it would be treated as breach of peace.
