NSCN-K (Niki) rejects allegations of joint operation

DIMAPUR, NOV 5 (NPN): NSCN-K (Niki) has rejected allegations by ZUF (Jenchui) of a joint operation against the outfit in Southern Nagaland, describing them as “imaginary, baseless and unfounded”.
In statement, the MIP said it condemned the allegations circulating on social media and in news outlets, adding that the reasons behind ZUF (Jenchui)’s claims were best known to the outfit.
It warned that if the allegations were made with any “nefarious intent” for the future, NSCN was prepared for any eventuality and would retaliate “tooth and nail”.
MIP said NSCN/GPRN believed in a broader perspective, long-term strategy and goals, unlike what it described as the “myopic view” of ZUF (Jenchui).
While expressing a desire for brotherly relations, it said such ties were not possible with those having “evil and hidden agendas”.
It added that NSCN/GPRN believed in the unity of the Naga people, but not at the expense of its political aspirations.
