NSCN (K) statement an admission to bomb attacks: ACAUT

ACAUT Nagaland, through its media cell, said that instead of issuing a public clarification on the bomb blast on K.T.Agency by its cadre, the NSCN (K) instead, “justified its activities” from the perspective of “unresolved Indo-Naga-Myanmar political issue”.
This, claimed ACAUT was an “open admissions” that NSCN (K) was involved in bombing K.T.Agency and of throwing bombs in the past at business establishments. Further, ACAUT claimed, that through its stand, NSCN (K), made it clear that it “is an organisation which has adopted terrorist tactics against its own civilian population.” ACAUT said since NSCN (K) chose not to respond to the charges, of having been involved in past grenade blasts at various places and occasions causing death and injuries, it (ACAUT) was left with no option but to conclude the NSCN (K) was involved in the following: bombing of a goldsmith-cum-jewellery shop at G .S.Road Dimapur on August 7,2013 when one was killed and another injured; bombing of Rhino Roadways Corporation on August 13,2013; bombing of Progressive Motors (TK Service Station) on October 31,2013; hurling grenade inside a businessman’s premises at Marwaripatti on March 1, 2014; bombing of Maruti Trading Agency Dimapur on April 22,2014 and planting of a bomb at Jasokie market in Dimapur around the same time.
ACAUT has also demanded to know from NSCN (K) as to whether it was waging war against the Burmese and Indian states or against its own civilian. It said the duplicity of NSCN (K) was exposed when the latter accused ACAUT of collaborating with police in the arrest of Nagaho and also “contemptuously” describing Nagaland Police as “Indian security agencies”.
ACAUT reminded NSCN (K) that its “allergy for anything Indian” should also include “Indian rupee too” but “their sheer hypocrisy means, that love for Indian money cannot be stopped.” ACAUT said its stand was the NPGs should not indulge in unabated taxation under the garb of “sovereignty to legitimise their activity”. ACAUT pointed out that in its memorandum submitted to prime minister Narendra Modi, it maintained that “taxation is a political issue related to Naga movements” but which do not legitimise unabated taxations or extortions by NPGs and therefore, concluded that the stand of the NSCN(K) was misplaced.
ACAUT also pointed to government protocol and Supreme Court guidelines, that members of the High Powered Committee (HPC) were fully entitled to remunerations with honorarium and vehicles for a stipulated period only. ACAUT said its members were included in the HPC to maintain integrity and impartiality to investigate issue of “corruption and unabated taxation”. ACAUT concluded, that the noise made by NSCN (K) about ACAUT members asking for NL-10 SUVs and remunerations “ is nonsense”.
