NSCN (Khango) cautions
NSCN-K (Khango) has cautioned one Nitovi Aye, owner of Star Cargo Transport Agency “to stop collecting revenue on behalf of the Naga Political Groups, especially in the name of NSCN(K)”. In a press note, the media cell, Naga Army (N/A), GHQ alleged that the amount collected was never submitted to the concern authority but “misappropriated and embezzled by him”.
In this regard, NSCN(K) has directed Nitovi “to submit or re-compensate the amount collected from different transport agencies on behalf of NSCN(K) as he is not authorised by the NSCN to carry out such revenue collection.”
It further warned “the self-vested individuals or unscrupulous elements from undertaking such activities that would defile the image of the NSCN.” Failing to abide by this directive, NSCN said it would initiate befitting action against the imposters/defaulters as per the gravity of the offences.
Henceforth, NSCN(K) said it shall not be held responsible of any untoward incident that will transpire against the imposters /defaulters.
Further, the media cell said that the Naga Army(N/A), NSCN(K) has been “authorised to supervise to deal with the Transport Agency with immediate effect.”
NSCN (Niki) clarifies
Taking note of reports in section of the media regarding recent incidents/issues of taxation, NSCN (Niki) has clarified that NSCN/GPRN has “no up-to-date knowledge of any public undertakings of business for profit” by any organization of Naga political parties as a whole.
In a press note issued through its MIP, NSCN (Niki) said “the lull of silence in the media on this matter/issue by Naga political parties has authenticated and cleared the confusion and that no Naga political parties as an organization is engaged in ownership of businesses for profit but purely members in their individual capacity are involved in businesses.”
In this regard, NSCN (Niki) has warned that any member of NSCN/GPRN found violating the Yehzabo would be punished as per the provisions laid down in the Yehzabo and accordingly, befitting action shall be initiated upon the guilty member.
“NSCN/GPRN believes in the stance that in spite of the usage of different nomenclatures, all Naga political parties stand to defend and protect our rights and for the greater good of the Nagas,” MIP said.
