NSCN-R (Akato) lauds DNSUfor exposing land exploitation

DIMAPUR

NSCN/GPRN-R (Akato) has lauded the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) for exposing what it termed as the “sinister and diabolic designs” of Nirmal Jain, accusing him of exploiting the land and resources of Nagaland through alleged fraudulent means.
In a statement issued through its MIP, the group said that the revelations made by the DNSU in its July 2 statement had deeply shocked NSCN/GPRN-R, and lauded DNSU’s “prudent judiciousness.”
It cautioned that the long-standing peaceful coexistence between Nagas and non-Nagas, had the potential of being shattered by “rogue characters like Nirmal.”
The group said that the Naga national movement, founded on the principles to protect and safeguard the unique identity, land and resources, cannot be held on ransom by land mafias such as Nirmal Jain. Exploiting the goodwill of the ever-hospitable Nagas, it accused Nirmal Jain of manipulating the system in collusion with a few corrupt local officials driven by vested interests and narcissistic greed.
NSCN/GPRN-R asserted that Nirmal and his “cohorts of few local collaborators and backhanders” had advertently and with all audacity taken advantage of the hospitality and good faith of the Nagas to pursue their “insatiable avaricious greed,” fully aware that their hideous schemes would surely effect Naga posterity and tarnish the image of other peaceful non-Naga communities that have long coexisted in harmony and tranquility.
Terming Nirmal Jain’s actions as a “direct challenge and defiance” to the core principles and ideology of the Naga national movement in particular and also grave insult to the wisdom of the Nagas in general, the group asserted that it would leave no stone unturned to unveil the whole truth and will not hesitate to expose anyone in connivance with Nirmal.
Claiming to have numerous proofs in their arsenal, NSCN/GPRN-R warned that Nirmal “will not escape our radar and will have to pay the consequences.”
It also warned that those found guilty would be made to “come undone” with the whole facts for their disparaging acts, adding that those responsible would not escape the wrath of the Naga national principles and doctrine that was imbibed in blood and tears.
