Accusing the GPRN/NSCN of apprehending its workers and “continuously punishing them in inhuman way”, the NSCN (Reformation) on Thursday said it “strongly warns perpetrators in Khehoi Camp” as government approved designated camp was being used as ‘concentration camp’ for NSCN (R) workers.
In a press release, MIP NSCN (R) stated that since its inception in May 2015 almost 37 cadres of the group have been apprehended by GPRN/NSCN in Dimapur and Kohima and kept in their custody.
It alleged that some workers of NSCN (Reformation) released after severe punishment have displayed multiple bruises on their bodies.
Stating that such act of cadres belonging to the GPRN/NSCN in Khehoi camp totally violated the human rights and deserved strong condemnation, the MIP said “some of the perpetrators have been identified and the NSCN/GPRN-Reformation will take it as individual issue who will be paid with same coin what so ever.”
NSCN (Reformation) MIP said it would continue to stand for Naga unity and reconciliation as committed by its collective leaders, but cautioned that it “cannot just leave perpetrators unpunished.”
Further, asserting that the group was formed on the principles of non-violence and peaceful co-existence with fellow Nagas, the NSCN (R) MIP, however, affirmed that it could not bear the atrocities of GPRN/NSCN.
NSCN (Reformation) expressed apprehension that “excessive violent activities” of GPRN/NSCN on its workers may compel it to “vomit its venom as everything has its own limit.”
Lamenting that Naga NGOs and civil society organisations chose to remain silent at the atrocities and human rights violation by GPRN/NSCN on its workers, the NSCN (R) said “no one raise any voice against such violent action till date”.
It said that four NSCN(R) workers were currently being kept under their custody “who experiences rifles buds and fists every single morning as breakfast.”
Also, accusing the government of India and Cease-fire Monitoring Group (CFMG) of keeping silent and allowing ceasefire designated camp to be used as “human concentration camp” by GPRN/NSCN, the NSCN (R) said the government of Indian and Cease-Fire Supervisory Board (CFSB) were therefore liable and must explain to the Nagas “as to how official designated camp is being used in such a way.”
